Dunedin Country House was built around 1841 at the edge of the village of Patrington, Hull, East Yorkshire. The current owners bought the country house in 2012 and renovated the entire building, creating this stunning wedding venue.
Originally named The Terrace House, Dunedin was ‘born’ after a merchant owner’s travels to New Zealand where the Scottish Settlement of Dunedin captured their heart. This owner travelled the world and had the Italian styled balcony installed on their return. Not content with only improving the house, the garden also received some trees from far afield. These are now stunning mature trees which give the feeling of seclusion and intimacy. Whether it’s a daytime or evening there are many places that inspire beautiful wedding photographs. Being a wedding photographer at Dunedin Country House is a great experience due to the late Georgian and early Victorian architecture which provides brides and grooms with a beautiful backdrop to their special day. Dunedin Country House is bursting at the seems with charm and character.
Dunedin has two self catering lodges, complete with hot tubs, for brides and grooms to book for their wedding preparations. This is a great space as it allows us, as wedding photographers, to get lots of stunning shots whilst you get ready. These are often things which pass by in a blur so it is great to have them captured so that your wedding day memories are full and glorious. View our wedding gallery.
As wedding photographers we are especially keen on the fact that you and your wedding party have exclusive use of the house and grounds. Who wants to share their special wedding day with another bride and/or groom?! This means that we can go at your pace and all your pre-agreed requirements can be met (many on the day ideas too can be accommodated). Our extremely popular twilight/evening shoots look fantastic at this venue as well as our ‘firework’ style shots.
